DOCTRINAL
STATEMENT
At Glacier Bible College, our doctrine is built on the unwavering foundation of Scripture and a commitment to theology. We believe that God’s Word is the ultimate authority in all matters of faith and life, and through it, we are called to live for His glory. Our teachings are centered on the sovereignty of God, the saving work of Christ, and the transformative power of the Holy Spirit. As we explore these timeless truths, we aim to equip our students with a deep, enduring faith that will carry them through both life’s challenges and its greatest adventures.
Bible
We believe that the Bible and the Bible alone in its entirety of 66 books is the Word of God. Written by men and inspired by The Holy Spirit and is therefore inerrant in its originals. Because it is the Word of God, we believe that it is authoritative in the lives of all people. (1 Thess. 2:13; 2 Tim. 3:25-17; 2 Pet. 1:20-21; Rev. 22;18-19)
God
We believe that God is a Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, each an uncreated person, one in essence, equal in power and glory. (Duet. 6:4; Matt. 28:19; Luke 3:22; 1 Cor. 8:6; 2 Cor. 13:14)
Creation
We believe that Christ created the heavens and the earth supernaturally in six literal twenty-four hour days. We believe that the Genesis record should be read in a plain and straightforward manner, believing this book to be the accurate historical account of the Creation, the Fall, early man, the
Worldwide Flood, and the Tower of Babel. (Gen.1; 2:7, Ex. 20:10; John 1:1)
Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man; that He entered this world through the virgin birth; that He lived a sinless life; that He worked miracles; that His death was a vicarious one and that His shed blood made a complete and full payment for sinful man; that He rose bodily from the grave and ascended to the right hand of the Father. ( Jn. 1:1; Phil. 2:6-7; Col. 2:9; Heb. 11:3)
Salvation
We believe that man was created in the image of God but that he fell being tempted by Satan; and that because of his exceedingly sinful condition, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely necessary for his salvation. We believe that a person is justified by faith alone in Christ alone. (Gen. 1:27; Jer. 17:9; Rom. 3:23; Eph. 2:8-9)
Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is presently indwelling believers and enabling them to live their lives in a way that pleases God and benefits others; that He empowers the Church to fulfill God's will in this world. (Rom 8:11; 1 Cor. 3:16; 1 Thess. 1:5)
Marriage
We believe that marriage is God ordained, the union of one biological male and one biological woman. That God made us all with a gender of either male or female for His glory. (Gen. 2:24; Mark 10;9-11; Gen. 5:2; Mark 10:6)
Church
We believe that the Church, which began on the day of Pentecost, is presently God’s means of reaching the world. Its purpose is to Glorify God through Evangelism and Discipleship. The Church is waiting to be resurrected and united with Jesus Christ. (Acts 2; Matt. 28:19-20; John 14:61 Thess. 4:17)
Future
We believe in the imminent return of Jesus Christ for His Church. That He will personally return in power and glory to reign on this present earth for 1,000 years. We believe all saved individuals have an eternal destination with the Lord forever. (Mark 13:4; Phil. 3:20; Titus 2:13; 1 Thes. 5:6; Zech. 14:4-11; Matt. 24:29-31; Rev. 19:11-16, 19; Rev. 20; Rev. 21)
Heaven and Hell
We believe that both the saved and the unsaved will be raised bodily; that each person will stand before the Lord to give an account to Him; and that those who are saved will be resurrected to eternal blessing and those who are lost will be resurrected to eternal punishment. (Luke 14:14; Jn. 5:28-29; Rev. 20:11-15)
Baptism
We believe Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer's faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior, the believer's death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus. (Matt28:19; Romans 6:4)
The Lord’s Supper
The Lord's Supper is a symbolic act of obedience whereby believers in Jesus Christ, through partaking of the bread and the fruit of the vine, memorialize the death of the Redeemer and anticipate His second coming. ( Luke 22:19; 1 Cor. 11:24)
Evangelism and Missions
We believe it is the duty and privilege of every follower of Christ and of every church of the Lord Jesus Christ to endeavor to make disciples of all nations. (Matt. 28:19-20; 1 Pet. 3:15)
