Steve and Kathy Schleyer
Steve and Kathy Schleyer were born and raised in Illinois and have been married for 24 years. They both attended universities in Illinois where Steve earned a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice and Kathy earned a Master's Degree in Audiology. Steve worked as a criminal investigator for the U.S. Department of Transportation, Office of Inspector General, in San Francisco, CA, and Kathy worked as a sign language interpreter for Mt. Diablo School District, in Concord, CA. Both Steve and Kathy were active in their church in
California before they took early retirements to be the founding donors of Glacier Bible College. They purchased the property in 2015 in hopes of the Lord using it for ministry. Steve and Kathy have been long time friends of the Landis family. That connection has brought them to Kalispell. Steve and Kathy are also funded the main lodge. That building is serving the college as staff housing, classroom and dining/kitchen area.
They love Montana and the great outdoors where they enjoy hiking, camping, whitewater rafting, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, and fishing. Their love for the Lord is also evidenced in their great passion for serving people. They look forward to being a part of the College in both its development and its operations.
The funds of the Schleyers in both the land and the first building are indispensable in the start of this dream. With deepest thanks their sacrifice is duly noted and will last a as wonderful testimony of God’s grace and provision.
